WHY WE BUILT THE

FLIP SYSTEM

FLIP is JTDP's four-part learning system. It combines evidence-based frameworks, engaging learning experiences, implementation tools, and performance measurement to turn learning into lasting behavior change and behavior change into measurable results. It's the method behind everything we do.

For nearly 20 years, JT Design & Present has evolved around one question: how do we help people understand something well enough to do something differently? In the beginning, we started designing clear, compelling presentations, then grew into professional development. As we continued to improve our capacity to strengthen communication, develop leadership, and increase collaboration, we noticed four gaps that showed up again and again:

FLIP closes those gaps.

Every result an organization wants depends on one thing: people thinking, deciding, and behaving differently — together, over time.

FLIP transforms learning from an event into a system — one that creates lasting behavior change and measurable organizational results.

Whatever the challenge, we run it through the same four stages — so progress is designed, supported, and proven rather than left to chance.

STEP 1

Start With Frameworks

Choosing the right direction before prescribing a route.

We start with what people need to do differently, not what information they need to hear. Before anything is built, we work through five direction-setting principles in order to determine which route to take.

The Result: A solution matched to the need before a single thing is built.

STEP 2

Design Learning

Experiences

The recipe for genuine capability.

Every learning experience we make shares the same five ingredients. Whether the goal is strategic planning, change management, professional development, or leadership coaching, we make sure all five are in the bowl.

The Truth: Exposure is not learning. Understanding is not capability. Capability means someone can actually perform the behavior the organization needs.

STEP 3

Use Implementation

Tools

A Toolbox for Immediate Application.

Implementation tools ensure that participants build on what they learn through coaching, feedback, and practice assignments. These tools shift behaviors and build environments conducive to continuous improvement.

The Real Test: Are they doing it in the real world and does their environment support them in keeping it up?

STEP 4

IMPROVE PERFORMANCE

A Bridge To Outcomes.

Application is the bridge from learning to improvement. Learning is not successful because people like it, complete it, or understand it. The ultimate outcome is sustaining desired behaviors consistently enough to contribute to the outcomes the organization needed.

What We Measure: Sustained progress, document what changed, and identify the next opportunity for growth.
